About

Hello! Welcome to my personal website. My name is Nanxi. I am currently a lecturer working in the department of Psychology at the University of Groningen. My research program is about individuals’ leisure behavior and how that shape psychological functioning. I teach a diverse range of topics in organizational psychology, including introduction to organizational psychology and topics related to employees’ stress, health, and well-being.

My Research

My research program lies at the intersection of social psychology, leisure sciences, and occupational health psychology. I study people’s leisure behavior and how that promotes or diminishes individuals’ psychological functioning. In my research, I use both quantitative (e.g., intensive longitudinal research methods, structural equation modeling), qualitative (e.g., interpretatitve phenomenological analysis, grounded theory), and computational (e.g., topic modeling, sentimental analysis) research methods to answer research questions. Currently, I am involved in research projects related to individuals’ crafting behavior and its’ interpersonal consequences as well as the antecedents and consequences of bedtime procrastination behavior.
